We appreciate and stand behind all vendors we work with. Thank you for everything you've done to change the world.
Majority of our vendors are from the US and we especially search for local vendors who have the same low waste values in order to support and bring forth community enrichment and local economic growth. We choose our retail business partners carefully as we are aware of commercial greenwashing and misleading vocabularies such as bio based and biological. We fully support small businesses with the forethought of making a positive impact to our community and the environment. Weighstead heavily focuses on the local community outreach; however, we understand that other cities and communities may be lacking a store that provides plastic-free alternatives and local resources. We’ve created the online store for the purpose of alleviating the hardships of finding sustainable substitutes in rural areas or less environmentally driven states.

Black Lab Studio:
I like to keep things modern and bold while adding a dash of humor where I can - whether it be through a quirky greeting card or custom wedding suite. I start all designs in my sketchbook using a variety of mediums, however pen and pencil is normally my go to. I then finish up designs in Illustrator or Photoshop to make things bright and filled with a whole lotta color. When I'm not designing, I'm normally stuffing my face with cheese dip, doting on my two pups or watching really awful reality tv. -stephanie

David's Toothpaste :
MIn 2011, Davids founder, Eric David Buss, began looking into the ingredients being used in the "natural" toothpaste he was using, and found that many of the ingredients being used were unhealthy. After looking for a better alternative, and not happy with what was available, a "simple" idea of creating his own toothpaste was formed. This initial idea turned into a four year obsession to develop the very best natural toothpaste possible and in 2015 Davids was launched.

I am delighted that our lunch containers have empowered tens of thousands of families to say good-bye to plastics at lunchtime. And by providing our earth-friendly lunch containers and accessories to help people green their habits at lunchtime, we hope to encourage them to move beyond using plastics in many other parts of their lives.
BumBum Booty :
My love of crafts and creating something out of simple supplies has been around for a long time (even when just buying the finished item is so much easier!) After my first son was born I finally got my own sewing machine instead of always borrowing my moms. I quickly wanted to make everything I possibly could! When my son started growing out of his onesies I thought surely I could come up with an accessory to avoid him not being able to wear some of my favorite onesies anymore! And the onesie extender was born. Since then I have fallen in love with other baby and mom items that I enjoy creating and want to share with others.
Life Without Plastic :
We are committed simply to building awareness about the dangers of plastic and the existence of healthier alternatives for everyday products. Healthier for the Earth, healthier for us all. We are committed to raising awareness about plastic issues by providing solid science-based and experience-based information, and by showing the world, one person at a time, the beauty and significance of a life without plastic.
Every single one of us can make a tangible difference by taking action in some way to reduce plastic use.

We believe we can be agents of this change; that we can continue to influence culture by responsibly making goods that invite conversation and inspire the change we want to see in the world.

Lark Skin Co :
Our vision, team and product line has grown exponentially since those first few months. We opened up our first brick-and-mortar in 2018, I brought along my Creative Partner, Allie Schweitzer and we now offer Holistic Facial Treatments in our Shop — the first of it’s kind in St. Louis.
I created LARK because I truly believe that safe skincare should be accessible to everyone, and that beauty and wellness go hand in hand. I believe in building a space for community and connection where we can offer natural alternatives to traditional beauty products.
Fair & Simple :
Care needs to be given to ensure manufacturing is a process that can be renewed and not stripped bare. Water supply, air quality, protection of natural ecosystems, and safe waste management are all under consideration.
A supply chain includes all the people and resources it took to get a product from the supplier to the customer. It includes raw materials, manufacturing, packaging, and distributing.
Social responsibility refers to how a corporation cares for the people and the materials involved in its supply chain. It includes good labor practices, adherence to human rights, a safe work environment, and fair living wages.
Form follows function, meaning the right materials need to be assigned to the right tasks. A delicate linen, while beautiful and renewable, may not be the right choice for an everyday tote.
One of the most important aspects of sustainability involves how well a product is made. Will it hold up to the task it was given?
While trends are fun, they are often short lived. A design that stands the test of time is less likely to be cast aside as fads come and go.
Dot Cup :
My name is Betsy, and I was introduced to (and fell in love with) the menstrual cup back in 2011. I'll never forget my first try - my roommate at the time literally had to google "How to remove a menstrual cup" and yell directions from the hallway! After a couple of months, I was hooked. Around the same time I was also introduced to the plight of women and girls around the world without access to basic menstrual care products. It stirred something inside me. The problem and its solution quite literally collided in my mind, heart, and hands, and the idea for a 1-for-1 menstrual cup company was born. Life got in the way though, and it wasn't until five years later that (while on maternity leave!) I decided to get serious about this dream I couldn't shake. I started researching the top medical-grade silicone manufacturers, sketching logos, combing through menstrual cup reviews and making lists of characteristics that would engineer the very best menstrual cup on the market. I also approached the #1 non-government provider of clean water in the world, World Vision International, with decades of proven success in sustainable community development, gender equality projects, and investment in the women of a community.
Blue Heron Botanicals :
Blue Heron Botanicals is the passion project born to owner Theora as a young woman living on the Lake Champlain Islands of Vermont. Growing up in a quaint island town nestled between the Adirondack Mountains of New York and the Green Mountains of Vermont Theora learned the importance of responsible and self sustainable living at a young age. Theora’s childhood home is where her deep love of Mother Earth was nurtured by her homesteading parents and where she fell in love with the eternally majestic Great Blue Heron, a welcomed and much anticipated symbol of spring on the lake. Harnessing the rejuvenating energy of spring and the resilient spirit of the Heron, Theora began to create small batch salves and balms that allowed her family’s delicate skin the opportunity to rebound from the harsh conditions to which it was seasonally subjected.
One Tree Planted:
MAs an environmental charity, we are dedicated to making it easier for individuals and businesses to give back to the environment, create a healthier climate, protect biodiversity and help reforestation efforts around the world. All by planting trees!
Started in 2014, we have more than doubled the number of trees planted year over year. Fast-forward to today, we now work with awesome reforestations partners in North America, South America, Asia, and Africa who help us get trees in the ground to restore forests after fires and floods, create jobs, build communities, and protect habitat for biodiversity.
In 2018, we were able to get more trees in the ground than ever before - 1.3 million!

Our goal is to provide an effective and sustainable option for typical store-bought plastic deodorant for those who are looking for a sustainable and aluminum free alternative and don't have the time or resources to make their own DIY products. We are also passionate about the use of natural ingredients and encourage others to ditch the chemicals and toxic ingredients in conventional deodorants that can cause health problems.
For our deodorants, we use labels made from 100% post-consumer waste and they contain recycle-compatible adhesive.

“Business has the power to be a champion for society and the environment,” says Nouri. “We’re out to make big changes by giving people beautifully designed alternatives to single-use plastics that are more functional, save consumers money, and give everyone the ability to feel good about positive choices that benefit future generations.”
Swell Bottle :
In 2010, I launched S’well with the mission to rid the world of plastic water bottles. I believed that if we made a crave-worthy bottle that combined fashion with function, people would stop buying disposable bottles and we could reduce single-use plastic consumption worldwide. It was an audacious goal, but I knew the world needed S’well.
Seven years later, we are the fastest growing woman-owned company in the country! I am delighted every time I see a S’well in a purse, backpack or stroller. Our fan base has been built by word of mouth, one enthusiastic user to another. We’re making a big difference by helping keep single-use plastic out of landfills and waterways.

Compostable, reusable and functional, you will never go back to paper towel or microfiber cloths.
Unwrapped Life :
After countless hours commiserating with her best friend, and co-founder Arden Teasdale, they decided to do something about it. The two of them started looking for ways to cut single-use plastic out of their lives, but there were so few options: especially for luxury staples like shampoo and conditioner. The girls tried other solid bars on the market but became frustrated as many of them did not work on their long hair. This led them to research and formulate their own solid hair bars, ones that would work amazingly well on all hair types.
They are passionate about spreading eco-awareness and helping others cut down on common single-use items (shampoo really doesn't need to be in a bottle, you’ll see!), all without compromising style and good hair days!

Yay for Earth :
AYFOREARTH's mission is simply all in the title. To give props to an earth that gives us EVERYTHING.
Every single thing we purchase and invite into our lives is sourced from nature and our planet earth deserves all the credit.
This face lotion started out as a desperate attempt to make something gentle and nourishing for my sensitive, irritated, and dry skin. I broke out in acne and rashes on my face right after high school due to unknown food allergies, bad habits, and trying to cover it all up with make up. I found a lotion that alleviated my skin but upon going zero waste, realized that there wasn't any plastic packaged product in the world that was worth continuing to use.
After trial and error, I perfected an earth friendly face lotion that was exactly what my sensitive skin was aching for and have been using it for 4 years. The best part is that every ingredient has a purpose, its packed in a reusable glass jar and all of it is sourced responsibly - no fillers, no palm oil, no plastic.
I decide to sell this face lotion I make for myself because I know there are so many options out there with confusing ingredients, confusing intentions, and poor results. I want other people to experience a product that was safe for their face and safe for their environment without compromise.
Through respect, intention, and forward thinking, we can all change our system together. Yay for Earth!
- Stevie Van Horn, Founder.
Not all ‘natural’ toothpastes are what they claim to be. Many still use synthetic ingredients like SLS and Triclosan – nasties that we end up ingesting. We only use pure, natural and organic ingredients for all our products. This means that we are able to look you straight in the eye when we tell you that this is oral care done naturally.
All our products are hand-crafted in small batches. They are made from natural ingredients that are sourced as locally as possible. Also, our packaging is designed to produce no waste – so no clogging up landfill sites with pollutants. This way, you can take care of your oral hygiene safe in the knowledge that you are doing good by the planet.
All our ingredients are ethically sourced and organic or food grade where possible. There’s certainly no animal testing. Our products are suitable for vegans, and as you’d expect our environmental footprint is low. Our sense of fairness also stretches beyond our products, as we are proud to be a living wage employer.
Hali Hali :
HALI HALI is the combined vision of designers Hannamari Virtanen and Liz Korsedal.
Finnish born Hannamari (the "HA" in HALI HALI) spent 18 years in the design industry building a wealth of business knowledge and an elevated minimalist design aesthetic. She met Liz (the "LI" in HALI HALI) while working in the same office for a company that specialized in textiles merchandised across various product categories. Liz and Hanna became fast friends over their shared love of dogs, and mutual dislike of unfiltered lighting.
After 10 years of living and designing in Los Angeles, Liz left to find a quieter place and found a home with her family in Savannah, Georgia. She built her own business by helping start-ups and entrepreneurs bring their product to life and utilizing her knowledge of manufacturing and design processes. After 3 years in Savannah, she was able to convince Hanna to join her in coastal Georgia.
It took a few evenings of enjoying red wine at various eateries throughout the beautiful city – but within the first month HALI HALI was idealized. Both Hanna and Liz were searching for something authentic and meaningful to pour their hearts into, and HALI HALI is just that. Design should be personal and fearless. Hanna and Liz work to make every piece perfect and personal – whether that means including hand painted elements in their designs or going the extra mile to make the packaging just right.
Finnish for "hug", HALI HALI strives to create product that gives every customer good feels.

MWe are a couple founded a small business, based in Colorado. We love nature, animals and good vibes! This brand was created when we realized how much consumerism has taken over our lives. We see EcoRoots as an important way to make a positive impact & environmental change.
Growing up in a simple family we started remembering how our grandparents used to buy their fruits and veggies from farmers markets while reusing the same set of canvas bags. Today you can’t help but notice the ridiculous amount of plastic bags offered for each handful of fruits and veggies or any item purchased in the supermarkets and grocery stores.
Nowadays, almost all our beauty and personal care products contain plastic. We remember the days when the personal trash would not pile up with all this single-use packaging. We realized how much plastic is in everything that we touch and use daily. We tried to see where we went wrong, why did everyone embrace this kind of lifestyle.
Country Folk Soap :
Thirty years of the rat race was enough. With the kids married, college bills paid off; it was time to leave life in the city behind and start living our lives, our way. In 2008 we sold our home in NJ, found our dream camp in Maine. I started making handmade oatmeal goat milk soap because I have eczema, thus sensitive, dry skin. Then I made shea butter soap, added fragrances, body butter, lotion and my passion turned into Country Folk Soap. Each item in my line is tested on me thus passing the litmus test of being moisturizing for dry and normal skin types. My hubby, Geoffrey is my original 'Dirty White Boy' & sounding board for silly new product names, hope they make you giggle.
The Coin Laundry :
I grew up in an old haunted house on Cape Cod full of antiques, so my appreciation for craftsmanship and vintage style came early.
I design and hand screen print each item using water based inks and all natural solvents so each one is unique and environmentally friendly. I can't pinpoint the one thing that inspires me although it might be my pillow since that's where I have most of my good ideas. I feel extremely lucky to be doing this for a living. It's a wonderful feeling to see something you made out in the world. I had one customer tell me her son actually cried when he got his shirt because he was so happy. It's things like that that keep me working at 1 am.
Creating something that is beautiful, funny and functional is what we do best. Enjoy!
Our story begins with our passion for sailing and sailboat racing. It was on the sea and in the wild that the destruction of so much natural beauty became apparent. It was also on the sea where we learned the value of purposeful living. When underway one cannot escape the necessity of valuing the limited resources like water, food, and fuel with the utmost respect and care. For to run out of clean water is to die. These facts of sailing lend themselves nicely to the larger issues threatening the environment and climate. Sailors consume resources like everyone else, but many of us can get by with a lot less.
A good sailor knows how to fix his boat. A boat has all kinds of systems: energy, plumbing, cooking, rigging, etc. Well, because of this, we've gotten pretty good at building/ designing a wide variety of things, and now we've begun to apply those skills, and others developed on land, to making beneficial impacts wherever we can.
